About Dr. Alexander Kott
Dr. Kott served as the Chief Scientist of the Army Research Laboratory (ARL), providing strategic guidance for the Army’s foundational research in disruptive technologies. With over 40 years of experience in engineering, defense science, and artificial intelligence, he has significantly contributed to advancing autonomous systems and enhancing national security capabilities. Dr. Kott’s career included positions of engineer, scientist and research manager in industry and DARPA. His groundbreaking work has focused on applying AI to complex military challenges, including autonomous ground systems, cyber defense, and predictive analytics. He is also widely published, with over 150 peer-reviewed publications and several prestigious awards, including the Secretary of Defense Exceptional Public Service Award. Dr. Kott earned his Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh. He is a frequent keynote speaker at global defense and technology conferences and serves on several advisory boards, shaping the future of AI and autonomous systems.
